This award-winning play promotes character and values education while exploring the concepts of friendship and community. Danny and his Mom move constantly, struggling to evade homelessness and overcome poverty. In his newest move, to a basement apartment, Danny creates an imaginative play that allows his new friends to cope with their problems and ultimately helps him deal with troubles in school due to his big secret: his inability to read.
